PzVVM Colab by PrimalAce PzVVM Colab by PrimalAce
After seeing a stunning colaboration between and I had my own bash at colouring one of mechs. My choice in colour scheme for the mech was based purely on the fact that it looks like a mech that should be on Mars, even though I have no information regarding the actual setting this mech is suposed to be in. So the scheme is rather simple but in my opinion would be as hidden as possible amongst a red and rocky plain. Anyway, go check out those two guys galleries, it is well worth it!

The one word to pop into my head upon seieng this is 'SAND!'

Imagine twelve of these popping up from sand dunes like zombies. With really long guns that couldn't possibly be real.

maybe GP should draw that next...heh.

Is also0 impressive!Hooray! *Favourites* I wish I was as good as drawing/colouring mechs as you lot. *feels slightly depressed*

Anyway, only one thing to say: the thing at the top, you coloured it the same as the rest of the mech. Why? Everyone does know it's a brain in a jar, right?

Well, you'll have to point out the mech you want in multiple views first, because I still have to get permission from him.
Even though I work with him, it does not mean I can hood wink his designs away from him.

Ah I didn't think it would, but with just a slight adjustment on the hue and you can make this baby a desert mech in seconds. Anyway, if you don't mind I'd like to colour another, was just wondering if you had one in mind and what colour scheme. Ah and another idea I had to sorta rekindle my love for space art, was to do a few backgrounds for you older mechs, you know the space-based ones. I think that'll be a nice composition between my work and yours. Just an idea mind, I'm running low on inspiration lately, I've even stooped as low as to use apophysis hehehe So doing a few colabs will keep me active and its good practice

And here I was dropping be your gallery to check it out and thank you for the watch and what do I see? Beautifully done work man, I like the subtle color gradations on the red dust style paints. It even has the model box feel like the Zidharta I did and I can't help but thank you for quoting the collab as the inspiration here ;) I had planned to do this one as well but it was going to be a different color scheme. I love what you did here, nice :) I'm definitely going to be poking round your gallery.

Thanks mate, and I had to quote your colab as it cleary was the inspiration for me doing this, at least doing it to a standard thats worth submitting. As GenocidalPenguin said to me when I asked to submit it, colouring other peoples line art is something that a lot of people do, just to see what it'll look like. Same with this, I just put a lot more effort into it this time round, no thanks to your colab setting the standard hehe Well I'm glad your going to "poke" around my gallery, I don't get a lot of people doing that usually, so it means a lot.

You have a nice gallery here. sadly with so many posters on Deviant some folks can slip through the cracks. It just comes down to keeping at it and submitting as much as possible. Indeed there's a lot of folks doing colors for others linearts. I honestly never did that al too much before ending up doing a year of CG colors with Dreamwave comics. After doing that I did colors for others here and there as it's fun to do and has works that are just a blast to color, couldn't help it. Mostly I focus on my own works and freelance though as sadly they've yet to create a week long day LOL.

Well I really like the subject matter of his work, and they are just asking to be coloured. Also, lately my inspiration is running low, so colouring others work would be good practice and will keep me active.

Utterly agree, doing others works is good for practice with colors and a good idea overall as it promotes that inspiration and brings a broader sense of community to people when working back and forth like that :)
